forever...across the sunlit fields to The air and lands still hold the magic of early Native Americans who settled in Colorado for centuries. The tribes migrated from the mountains to the ranch lands depending on the season. Hunting trails are still etched into the ground and were used by the Comanche, Ute, Apache, and Pueblos. The ancient territory is perfect for sharing the principles of the Native American Wellbriety program.
Many early settlements were
located along migration and hunting
trails that were used for many centuries
by Native American tribes including the Comanche, Ute, Apache and Pueblo.
Settlements such as Colorado City and Colorado Springs were able to
succeed due in part to traffic generated from several intersecting
regional trails. Although the era of the Old West has ended, preservation
of pioneer tales and remnants of historic sites ensure that the County's
colorful past will endure as part of the nation's history.
This is the land that gives one the Courage to Change. | ||||||||
